"Okay, this one might be challenging for some, but it’s important: if someone is happy, fucking let them be happy!"
This is what I don't get about people bringing politics into a perfectly good day. These jackwagons think that I need to worry about stuff I have no impact on. I'm going to go back to being happy, and avoid anyone who wants me to be a sad sack of worries.
As long as they aren’t hurting anyone or anything, let them be happy. I mean, we don’t condone psychopathic or sociopathic behavior ‘round these parts.
Let’s say they are happily building a religious monoculture. With song and dance and all… It’s not that simple. We need to show what we truly value even if it makes others unhappy.
A religious monoculture would be harmful to others.
We can flip that. The person who wants to build a religious monoculture also needs to be happy for your happiness. If your happiness is based on another religion (as long as you are not trying to create your own religious monoculture), they need to be happy for you.
That's the whole point, if your happiness is predicated on not allowing others to pursue their happiness, then your philosophy is wrong. So, you are off the hook. You do NOT need to be happy for people who are happy trying to build a religious monoculture because they aren't happy for you.
And, for the record, I believe christian nationalists can go fuck themselves.

Run your own race, Tim. I'm happy for you!
Easier said that done.
With friends and in the community: yes.
But if someone is happy that something that you abhor happens, how to do that? We live in a very mixed society.
